Frequently Asked Questions

Is it true that green energy is much more expensive?

The answer to whether green energy is more expensive depends on a variety of factors, including region, generation technology, infrastructure costs, etc. In the past, the production of green energy (for example, through solar or wind installations) may have been more expensive compared to conventional energy sources. However, with advances in technology and increasing competition in the sector, green energy prices are often levelling out or even becoming more competitive with conventional energy sources. So, the trend now is towards greater competitiveness and wider diffusion of green energy.

How do I know you're really giving me green energy?

We are committed to transparency and providing clear information to our customers. Here are a few ways you can make sure we really are providing green energy: If you have opted for a green energy subscription plan, this fact should be clearly reflected in the contract, as well as in every invoice we issue. We have Guarantees of Origin that confirm we are providing green energy. These documents are issued by the RESA and their authenticity can be verified on the RESA website. For each MWh consumed, we transfer these guarantees to our customers.

Where do you get so much green energy?

It comes both from our own capacity and from more than 1,100 independent power producers in the Southeast from whom we buy electricity directly. We do not buy green energy on the wholesale market. Our goal is to diversify our sources of green energy to achieve optimal balance and a high standard of sustainability. Our mission is to continuously increase the percentage of clean energy in the overall energy mix we trade. We achieve this by developing partnerships with more and more producers, as well as by building new power plants of our own.

You just need to request a change of supplier by selecting Green Plan from the TOKI and voila.
